Municipal Market in Lagos Portugal

Landscape Watercolour of Lagos, 15" x 11" on Saunders Waterford Rough Paper 140 lbs

Located facing the fishing port, this building was built in 1924 to originally house just the towns fruit and veg market but was also devoted to selling fish in the last 1950's. The wonderful selection of freshly caught seafood is housed on the ground floor while fruit, vegetables, freshly baked bread, and an open-air terrace with restaurant can be found upstairs.

  1. Hi, this is Pablo, how are you? I looove your light, I really like the paintings from the Canary Islands (I am from Playa Honda, Lanzarote) but also from other port cities. It feels like they move, like an image from a comic book. There's something happening but also the inclement sun and the texture of the water are present. I found these paintings by chance, looking for pics of Lanzarote on Google Images to send to a friend. I might send one of your paintings now.

Maybe you've heard it before, but I think you should revamp this website and make it a nice online museum, where paintings go in city folders. Just a suggestion. Whatever works, do it.

    Thanks

    Cheers as you brits say

    Pablo
